The Lights!!

So this is the bed Jennilyn has been living on for the past week. The lights are underneath, so we don't have to cover her eyes like they do at the hospital. So that is nice, but it has this little Jacket thing that Velcros on top and then there are little sleeves to put their arms in. Jennilyn doesn't like to use it as the have made it. Here are some of her favorite ways to use it...

She somehow kicked her foot through the velcro and it was just hanging out in the air

If you look closely, you can see that it's her leg that is actually in the arm hole.. LOL! She is a character!!!
And this is the lights at the hospital... That is the IV in her head.. So sad!! And everything else was just to monitor her pulse, and oxygen levels and all that stuff they monitor.. And of course the eye covers, because the lights are overhead at the hospital!!

I totally know how hard it is to see your baby all hooked up to monitors and such. SO SAD! So, how early was she, and was everything okay? She looks beautiful..LIKE YOU! YEAH for girls! Sigh...congrats friend!

She was 3.5 weeks early. Things were fine, but it was a hard delivery. She was face up and swallowed lots of stuff so they put her on medication to prevent infection.. She's good now though. Still just learning to eat..

Oh My gosh, She still is so pretty, going to be her own person :) Jon had the same thing with the lights, I had to rent a clear box with lights like at the hospitial and keep his eye's covered all night, I sat up all night watching him hoping he would not pull the eye patches off, they said it hurt their eye sight. I finally just laid him in the sun on the bed it helped more, and I got more sleep.. It was June though.lol
Boy that makes me feel old, thats been awhile ago..
they are so much more advanced now than they used to be, Good luck but I bet you don't need it..

What a hard way to start life - and a little stressful for you parents I'm sure. I can't wait to see her in real life someday!

It's amazing to look back at the pictures after they have grown and are so healthy and strong. Dallas had jauntice really bad and we got to take home a little suitcase with the lights and the thing that hooked to her made her look like a glow worm. I'm just glad they have stuff like that to take home so they don't have to stay in the hospital-I'm glad she is doing better, she is beautiful!
