Children at Church!

Today at church there was a new family in the ward speaking. The mom got up and gave her talk and then their oldest girl, who is probably 5 got up to bear her testimony. While she was bearing her testimony, which wasn't very long, 2 young boys lined up on the stand to bear their testimony. She finished and everyone prepared for the hymn and this little boy bore his testimony and then the other. One even said he was grateful for "this" fast Sunday! LOL! It just made my day. I have never seen that before, but it was great! I hope you all enjoy this story as much as I did. :) Happy Sunday! And Fast Sunday is NEXT week!!

Peek-a-boo!

Since we have an unfinished basement in our new place we had to get a gate so that Jayden wouldn't find himself trying to fly or something and anytime Chris or I go downstairs, Jayden looks for us. It's really cute! Here are just a few of his famous poses!

He really gets a big kick out of it. Such a silly little guy!
He's walking around quite a bit now. Not always, but he'll just take off now. It's so much more fun then crawling. We'll put up a video of him walking soon!

We are still alive!

Sorry, I know it's been a while. I guess life's been a little busy/crazy lately. We had a family reunion with my family last weekend and it was so much fun! My sweet little sister accidentally somehow jumped off her bunk in the middle of the night and landed on the hard cement floor. So my parents took her to the hospital. Everything seems to be fine. Every once in a while she still doesn't feel well, but I think everything will be ok. Jayden loved being outside all the time!
We did this ropes course and it was fun, but some things were kinda scary. This is Chris up on this high wire. And this is me.
Thanks mom and dad for a fun weekend.

A BAD VIRUS!

So all day Monday I thought that Jayden kinda felt warm. He's felt warm a lot while he's been getting his teeth, so I didn't really think much of it. I put him to bed around 8 and not knowing if he would sleep all night or not, I TRIED to head to bed shortly thereafter, although I didn't make it until 10:30. At 12:30 Jayden woke up and as I was jumping out of bed Chris stopped me and told me that he's been making little noises all night (Chris had just gone to bed) So I waited a minute and then it turned into a scream, so I went in and picked him up and he was on fire. That poor little guy was so HOT. So we took off his footed pj's, so the heat had an escape route and gave him some medicine. We took his temperature and it was around 103 degrees, and then we laid him in between us and he rolled around and around and finally cuddled up right next to Chris. It was so cute, I had to get a picture.
He slept that way for about a half hour and then woke up, and he was extremely stinky. So I went to change his diaper and he has diarrhea too. Every time I would change his diaper he would just scream, the cold wipes on his little sore bottom was just not a good combination. It is so sad. So I took him out on the couch and every 15 to 20 minutes he would wake up. He was just so uncomfortable and couldn't get comfy. It was so sad. I took his temperature again and it was 104.3. Holy cow! He finally went to sleep at 4 and didn't wake up until 6:30. So that was nice.I called the doctor and they said that there is a virus going around, so just watch it basically and if the fever lasts more then 3 days to bring him in. She also said diarrhea lasts 7 to 10 days. We're not excited about that. His temperature finally dropped to 100 at like 3pm. So we put him to bed last night and he only woke up at 11 and his body was so cool. It was wonderful. So hopefully it's gone for now. It was not very much fun! But we are all doing much, much better today! Just watch out for viruses.
