Jayden update!!

So I thought I'd just post some funny pictures of Jayden. Some of them are from a few months ago, but I just never got around to posting them.

Every morning we wave to Chris as he drives away, and tell him bye and blow kisses. One day Jayden got this idea that he was going to work and he picked up this little bucket and said bye and walked to the door. LOL! He does it all the time..
He got this cute milk mustache after drinking some melted ice cream.
One of Jayden's favorite things to do is to go in the pantry and grab the cereal. I have since moved the cereal boxed up on the shelf, but he'll either just carry around the sack or dump the whole thing on the kitchen floor!!One day Jayden found a pen and I guess his nose itched or something.. LOL :)
He found Camilla's guitar and decided to use it as a horse!
Like father like son, what can I say? He's gonna be a genius just like his dad!
On a not so happy note. Here is Jayden's first bloody nose. I wasn't home, but Chris did excellent and took a picture!
Jayden fell off a stool on our tile floor and landed right on his forehead. Check out that goose egg!

Thank You

Camilla has been teaching Jayden to say Please and Thank you in sign language! So we've been working on it when she's not here as well. He gets the signs mixed up sometimes, but he's been doing pretty good. He likes thank you so much though, he sometimes forgets to say please! Yesterday after I gave him something I said what do you say? And he came over right next to me and reached up to my chin and tapped it and said Thank You! I guess as long as you touch someones chin it works right?

The Lights!!

So this is the bed Jennilyn has been living on for the past week. The lights are underneath, so we don't have to cover her eyes like they do at the hospital. So that is nice, but it has this little Jacket thing that Velcros on top and then there are little sleeves to put their arms in. Jennilyn doesn't like to use it as the have made it. Here are some of her favorite ways to use it...

She somehow kicked her foot through the velcro and it was just hanging out in the air

If you look closely, you can see that it's her leg that is actually in the arm hole.. LOL! She is a character!!!
And this is the lights at the hospital... That is the IV in her head.. So sad!! And everything else was just to monitor her pulse, and oxygen levels and all that stuff they monitor.. And of course the eye covers, because the lights are overhead at the hospital!!

New Arrival

Announcing her appearance a little early is our sweet little Jennilyn Hess! She was born January 3, 2009 at 3:42pm. She came in weighing 7lbs 3 oz and is 19 inches long. She does have a bit of dark hair with frosted ends as you can see. They did use the vacuum and the forceps, so she had a rough ride into life, but is doing very well. We are so excited for this sweet new addition into our family. And glad she chose to come a little early.
